WordAva (“WordAva”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices when you use the WordAva mobile game (Application) currently available on the Google Play Store and planned for release on the Apple App Store.
Scope
This policy applies to the WordAva mobile game and any related services we provide. By using the Application, you consent to the practices described here.
Age Requirements
WordAva is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
What We Collect
- Account & Authentication Data (via Unity Gaming Services and Google Sign-In): email address and Google Account ID (as provided by Google) used to authenticate your player account.
- Gameplay & App Usage (via UGS services such as Cloud Save, Leaderboards, and Analytics where enabled): session events, progress, items/entitlements, scores, timestamps, and general performance signals.
- Device & Technical Data: IP address, device model, OS/version, language/locale, and device advertising identifiers (e.g., AAID on Android and, when available, IDFA on iOS subject to platform consent).
- In-App Purchase Metadata: product ID, transaction/order ID, purchase timestamps, and store validation status needed to fulfill entitlements. We do not receive or store full payment card details—payments are processed by the relevant app store.
- Advertising Data (Unity Ads): ad impressions, engagement, coarse device information, and advertising identifiers used to deliver and measure ads subject to platform settings and consent.
- Crash Diagnostics: crash logs and limited device/app state at the time of a crash to help us fix stability issues.
How We Use Information
- Provide Core Features: authentication, save/restore progress, leaderboards, and account management.
- Process Entitlements: validate purchases with the app stores and deliver items/rewards.
- Improve the App: analytics, troubleshooting, and performance optimization; investigate and fix crashes.
- Safety & Compliance: prevent fraud/abuse, enforce terms, and comply with legal obligations.
- Optional Communications: send important notices (e.g., service updates). We do not sell or share data for third-party marketing/profiling.
Sign-In with Google
When you sign in with Google, Google may provide us your email and basic profile information to authenticate your account. We do not store sensitive authentication credentials. Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google’s terms and privacy policy.
In-App Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by the app store provider (e.g., Google Play; Apple App Store when available). We receive non-financial metadata (e.g., transaction IDs) to deliver your purchased content. Please review the applicable store’s payment terms and privacy policy.
Advertising (Unity Ads)
WordAva uses Unity Ads to show ads. Unity Ads may use device/advertising identifiers to deliver and measure ads. You can manage personalized ad settings in your device’s privacy/ads settings and, where required, through consent prompts shown in-app.
Third-Party Services
The Application integrates the following services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- Unity Gaming Services
- Unity Ads
- Google Play Services (including Google Sign-In and Google Play Billing)
- Firebase
- Apple services (planned) for iOS release
We may share aggregated, de-identified information with service providers to operate and improve the Application. We may disclose information:
- To comply with law (e.g., subpoena or similar legal process).
- To protect rights, safety, or investigate fraud/abuse.
- With trusted processors acting on our behalf under contracts that limit their use of the data to our instructions.
Do We Sell Data?
No. We do not sell or lease your personal information to third parties for marketing or profiling.
Data Security
We use Unity Gaming Services, Google Play/Apple platform protections, and Firebase Crashlytics for diagnostics, along with industry-standard safeguards. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers where supported. We apply access controls and monitor our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we strive to protect your information.
Data Retention
We retain user-provided data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services and meet legal obligations. If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize data not required to be retained by law or for legitimate security/fraud prevention.
Your Choices & Controls
- Access/Deletion: You (or a parent/guardian for users under 18 where applicable) may request access to or deletion of account data by emailing [email protected].
- Account Deletion: See the process below. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Ads Preferences: Adjust device ad settings and respond to in-app consent prompts where presented.
- Uninstall: You can stop all information collection by uninstalling the app.
Account Deletion Request
- Email [email protected] with subject: WordAva Account Deletion Request.
- Include the Google account email used in the app (and Apple ID email once iOS is available).
- State clearly that you want all associated data deleted.
After verification, we will complete deletion within 10 business days, except for data we are legally required to keep (e.g., anti-fraud logs).
Refund Policy
- Eligibility: Requests must be made within 14 days of purchase.
- How to Request: Email [email protected] with your Google Play order ID (and Apple receipt once available), purchase date, and reason.
- Review: We evaluate each request; approved refunds are issued consistent with the relevant app store’s policies.
- After 14 Days: Refunds are not normally issued.
- No Partial Credits: Only full refunds are available where approved.
International Users
Your data may be processed in the country where you live and in other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps to protect your information in accordance with this policy wherever it is processed.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Your continued use of WordAva after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
